Vehicle account verification
Complete your account verification
The dealership where you purchased your vehicle has identified your loan to be transferred to a finance company. Before that can happen, the details on your account need to be confirmed with you directly. Enter your name and mobile number below and we’ll text you a few short questions. It takes about five minutes.
Two ways to do this, whichever you prefer. Fill in the form below and we’ll text you the questions, or call our automated verification line at (904) 365-6781 and answer them out loud.

Who we are
gAIn advantage is an independent verification company
We are not your dealership and not the finance company. We confirm the details of vehicle accounts directly with the customer and report what we find to both sides. The questions we ask and how we ask them are ours — no dealership or lender writes them, and none of them can change what we report.
Background
Why dealers transfer loans to lenders
It is a normal, routine part of the Buy Here Pay Here business. A dealership sells cars and finances them itself, which ties up its money in loans it has already made. Transferring accounts to a finance company frees that money so the dealer can keep stocking and selling vehicles.
- The dealer gets paid now instead of over the next several years, and can buy more inventory.
- The finance company takes over servicing — collecting payments and keeping records — which most dealers are not set up to do at scale.
- Many finance companies report to the credit bureaus, so paying on time can help build your credit.
- Because the finance company is taking on the loan, it needs the details confirmed by someone independent first. That is our part.
Common questions
What customers usually ask
Why is my loan being transferred?
Your dealership identified your account to transfer to a finance company that will service your loan going forward. This is a common practice for Buy Here Pay Here dealers, usually done to help build your credit — and lenders only take on well-qualified customers, so your dealer saw you as a good fit.
Who are you, and why not my dealer?
gAIn advantage is an independent company. The finance company needs the details on your account confirmed by someone who is not the dealership selling the loan and not the lender buying it. That is why an independent party asks you directly.
When will this take place?
There is no set date yet. The finance company will contact you and send a letter once your account transfers.
Will this change my payment?
No. Everything stays the same. The finance company follows exactly what you signed on your contract — the same amount, on the same schedule.
Will my balance change?
No. Whatever your dealer has on your account transfers over and stays the same.
What should I do in the meantime?
Keep making your payments the same way you do now, until you receive a welcome letter or a call from the finance company — whichever comes first.
What will you ask me?
Short questions confirming what your dealer already has on file: your name, your vehicle, your payment amount and schedule, and how to reach you. We never ask for your Social Security number, your date of birth, or any bank, card or payment information.
Do I have to do this by text?
No. Texting is optional. Call our verification line at (904) 365-6781 and answer the same questions out loud instead. The line is answered by an automated verification assistant, which says so when it picks up, and it is available around the clock.
How do I stop the messages?
Reply STOP to any message and we will not text you again. Reply HELP for help, or call our verification line at (904) 365-6781.
